TISS-SVE

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936, as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work . The first school of social work in India, TISS was a pioneering effort with the objective of Social Welfare through academic excellence, a characteristic of the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust (SDTT). In the year 1964, it was recognized as a Deemed University by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India.

PCPS College of Technology & Management has partnered with TISS-SVE to become its training hub partner for management & entrepreneurship and professional skills sector. Tata Institute shall provide the entire content for the courses as well as conduct train the trainer for the course. In addition it shall approve appointment of faculty (employed or empanelled) by training hub, conduct certification exam and also sign requisite agreement with the ‘Skill Knowledge Provider’ (Industry player) who shall provide internship opportunity to the student.

AICTE

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was set-up in November 1945 as a national level Apex Advisory Body to conduct survey on the facilities on technical education and to promote development in the country in a coordinated and integrated manner. And to ensure the same, as stipulated in, the National Policy of Education (1986), AICTE be vested with statutory authority for planning, formulation and maintenance of norms and standards, quality assurance through accreditation, funding in priority areas, monitoring and evaluation, maintaining parity of certification and awards and ensuring coordinated and integrated development and management of technical education in the country.

The purview of AICTE (the Council) covers programmes of technical education including training and research in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Town Planning, Management, Pharmacy, Applied Arts and Crafts, Hotel Management and Catering Technology etc. at different levels.

DBRAU

The foundation of Dr B. R. Ambedkar University (originally known as Agra University) was laid on the 1st of July, 1927, as a result of hectic efforts of a band of enthusiastic educationists like Rev. Canon A.W. Davis, Munshi Narain Prasad Asthana, Dr L.P. Mathur, Lala Dewan Chand, Rai Bahadur Anand Swaroop and Dr Brajendra Swaroop.

The University was renamed as Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University in 1996. The University now caters to the educational need of the seven districts of Agra Division Agra, Aligarh, Mainpuri, Hathras, Firozabad, Etah and Mathura. Besides, the University is proud of having affiliated to it, Sarojini Naidu Medical College, which is one of the oldest premier Medical Institutes of the country. At present university has approx 200 affiliated colleges and 15 residential Institutes spread out in its four residential campus viz. Paliwal Park, Khandari Campus, Civil Lines Campus and Chhaleshar Campus. Furthermore, this university affiliates colleges of Homeopathy, extending all over the State of U.P.

BTE Lucknow

State Board Of Technical Education and Training" was set up in the state in May,1958. The Board conducted its first examination in 1960,for courses of diploma level and also for Draughtsman Certificate Course. The name of the state Board was changed to "Board Of Technical Education" in 1962. In the same Year, the "U.P. Pravidhic Shiksha Adhiniyam - 1962" was enacted awarding the Board statutory status. In the year 1962, year of its inception, the Board held the examination of about 2500 students, in three major disciplines of Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at 25 different Centers/Institutions. It has a chairman , vice-chairman and 40 members ,named by the state government .Secretary ,Board of Technical Education ,U.P. is ex-officio member secretary of the Board.The curriculum prepared by other institutions was adopted by the Board, till 1980 but thereafter the curriculum and syllabi were developed and revised, every five years at the Board level through its Curriculum development centre. The curriculum development work has been entrusted to I.R.D.T. kanpur . The Board now examine and approve the syllabus developed by IRDT, Kanpur and prescribe it for institutions affiliated to Board of Technical Education, U.P. About 38,000 students in the following 52 different disciplines of one year, two year, three year and four year durations are being examined at present, in the institutions, affiliated to the Board. The Board of has been constituted under "U.P. Pravidhic Shiksha Adhiniyam - 1962". It has a Chairman and a Vice-Chairman and 40 memebers nominated by the state Government. Secretary ,Board Of Technical Education is ex-officio member secretary of the Board.

NCTE and SCERT

The main objective of the NCTE is to achieve planned and coordinated development of the teacher education system throughout the country, the regulation and proper maintenance of Norms and Standards in the teacher education system and for matters connected therewith. The mandate given to the NCTE is very broad and covers the whole gamut of teacher education programmes including research and training of persons for equipping them to teach at pre- primary, primary, secondary and senior secondary stages in schools, and non-formal education, part-time education, adult education and distance (correspondence) education courses.

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) maintains a network of field offices to keep a close liaison with State Government. At present, these offices have been established in different States and Union territories. State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) is one of these offices. It came into existence on 5 th January 1979 as a result of transformation and upgradation of the former State Institute of Education (SIE). The main function of the SCERT is to organize and implement the special educational projects sponsored by UNICEF, NCERT and other agencies for qualitative improvement of school education and teacher educators by prescribing curricula and textbooks for the school and teacher training institutions.

UP Board

The Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh ) is the Uttar Pradesh state government administered autonomous examining authority for the Standard 10 examination (or secondary school level examination) and Standard 12 examination (or inter college level examination) of Uttar Pradesh, India.

In Uttar Pradesh a few secondary schools are being governed by the Indian Council of School Education ( I.C.S.E. ) and Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E. ), but most of the Secondary schools seek recognition of the U.P. Board. At present there are 9121 secondary schools recognized by the U.P. Board of High School and Intermediate Education.
